Here’s something a bit different — a set of calligraphy coloring pages. The text is an English translation of the words of an antiphon written by Hildegard of Bingen, a 12th-century Benedictine abbess, polymath, Christian mystic, and recently-canonized Saint and the fourth female Doctor of the Church. (Amazing right?!)

I got my translation from this book, based on the edition by Pudentiana Barth, M. Immaculata Ritscher and Joseph Schmidt-Gorg, Hildegard von Bingen. Lieder (Saltzburg, 1969).

Here at the International Society of Hildegard von Bingen Studies you can find a wealth of information about this chant, the Latin text and a transcription of the melody, as well as everything about St. Hildegard herself.
